Carambola Starfruit - KaryCorrey's Edible FruitsUpdate: 3750 days 8hrs Comments: - It is only young. I did actually get 1 fruit first year but the possum got it. I have tasted this variety from the orchard in Daleys Nursery and it is very juicy and incredibly tasty. They crop really well but fruit fly may be a problem if you are not onto it. Pollination: No Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report 9 of 12 people found this review useful CommentsEdward3 says... [927 days 7hrs ago]I found that fruit fly is not the problem, but moths which lay eggs and small grubs then enter the middle of the fruit.* You need your own My Edibles Page to contribute Quick & Easy |

Carambola Starfruit - Daleys Sweet Gold 6/10Xhristofer's Edible FruitsUpdate: 4693 days 5hrs Comments: - This has been a difficult tree. I've had to transplant it three times. First it was too shaded, then the soil wasn't right and too shallow, but now the soil is deep, free draining and obviously suited to the tree. Its now about 1.8M tall and looking much better than it was. Its only flowered once in the 3 or so years I've had it.
