Cenarrhenes nitida 'Native Plum' Linton's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2023 days 9hrs Comments: - Cenarrhenes nitida 'Port Arthur Plum' A native of Tasmania, it's a large bush or small tree that produces a fleshy plum-like fruit. Unsure of how long they take to reach fruiting age. The plant is intolerant of phosphate so I have avoided giving it any fertiliser. Seems to be growing well so far in a semi-shaded position.

Chinese Bird Plum (Cutting) Linton's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2119 days 9hrs Comments: - Although sometimes reported as deciduous, this plant has remained evergreen throughout Winter with continuous new flushes of growth . The small purple-black fruits are commonly eaten in China and some say that the leaves also have a plum scent. Easy to grow in Melbourne with little care required. Will be great if it can fruit here as it is another highly underutilised fruit. Plum tree (Grafted) 10/10 Bizibee's Edible FruitsUpdate: 5235 days 3hrs Comments: - This was already here when I moved in. The first year I moved in, I had so much fruit, we couldn't eat it all. I made some plum jam with some. The rest I was giving it away in boxes. The following year in winter I pruned it back hard because I wanted the branches to start growing lower so a could reach the fruit and neaten up the tree. That summer I got no fruit which I expected. The next three years I got very little fruit. I guess I pruned I bit to hard.
