Comments: -

First time to bear fruit after four years in a pot and boy its loaded. The fruit is small to medium size because it is a cross between a regular apple and a crab apple. It's got a pink flesh with a balanced flavor of sweetness and acidity. The tree is healthy, and a  prolific bearer as evidenced by the image i have uploaded from my tree, pest free ATM. It's ornamental in itself because of the reddish leaves and stems Just nice for kids' lunch box.  There is a similar apple released recently called Red Love apple bred from Switzerland by Markus Kobelt. Mine is discovered  by Bob Magnus of Woodbridge Nursery growing in Huonville, Tassie. Growing as a 'Y' espalier ATM in my garden.

Not sure what root stock this is on but it was marketed as a cold tolerant variety.  Hasn't seen any damage as yet and is a fairly slow grower.  I think it needs to move from where it is though.  In hind sight it's going to need more room and it definetly needs to be out of reach of the passionfruit vine!  - so I translanted this one to a roomier position and then got a nasty frost.  It does not look happy at all!  But it's still hanging in there.  Compost and worm juice and we'll see what happens

No idea which variety as have lost the ticket, but it's a pretty little tree and gives me some fruit each year. I have to remember to thin it out each year to promote new growth for fruit.

Tree did not grow much at first but looks nice and healthy with deep green leaves which mostly fall off by the end of winter.

Started flowering the following spring, solid growth all through summer and seems to do well in Sydney.

No fruit set but I'd rather the tree got bigger first anyway.

Budsport of Pink's Mammoth, so same type of fruit, just self-pollinates much better.

In its first season it had many flowers and set two fruits while still in its 6l bag, which I had to knock off so it didnt get too stressed at this size. Going into the ground when dormant in winter.

Bought as I love the fruit, but wanted an easy care variety ie. no hand pollination required, and smaller tree.  Should taste good as is a bud sport of "Pinks Mammoth", a tasty fruit.  Plant very eager to set fruit (set a couple when still in pot, and again when planted out early this year - I removed, as plant too immature and shapeless yet.)  Looking forward to great fruit.

I have two atemoyas - an african pride and hilary white.

They have been recalcitrant plants to get established! I don't think the wind has helped though. I am waiting for the tap root to establish more strongly.

They also suffer burnt leaf magins. The A.pride has decided to flower this week...(it's July).

I had 4 fruit off the A.pride this season and they were lovely. It was too soon to let it fruit - but I was greedy! They pollinated on their own.

My pruning job not too good on these guys.

Floweredall winter long (2009) and set no fruit by spring when flowers finished.

Nov 2010: Flowering madly. I put an extra microsprayer on it and the extra water has really helped it along.
