Dwarf Kumquat Calamondin (Grafted) 8/10

Terrastrega's Edible Fruits
Update: 11 days 18hrs

Comments: -

My little dwarf Calomondin (I call them calamansi) and fig- Black Genoa tree arrived by post all safe and snug in their box from Daleys yesterday.

Called up Daleys and the lady on the phone (Kathrine I think her name was... sorry I am really bad with names) was very cheerful and helful in answering questions I had regarding my little calomondin. She recommended to pick off any fruit on the tree when it arrives before plabting it to allow the plant to concentrate on growing and establishing. Very nice people to deal with..

2013 Update: This tree is growing very well in its pot and has put out little fruit last year and this year. Plenty of flowers starting to form. Can't wait, this makes a delicious juice drink. Scale and aphids were a minor problem that was treated with pyrethrium and scale spray.

2014: It was a bit neglected and decided to plant it into the ground sometime in April this year. Fertilise with chook manure and blood and bone and seaweed extract and mulch. Tree developed nice new growth. It has lots of little fruit forming on the tree at the moment (Oct).

I am just happy to see that someone also use strawberries as ground cover under their trees. I plant strawberries under every fruiting trees in my backyard, they make perfect ground covers and are also very delicious.

Mindy1's Edible Fruits
Update: 53 days 5hrs

DECEMBER 2019

A small tree, exceptional yellow fruit with a free stone.  This peach has done well in our yard.  It seemed clear of curl leaf when I purchased but have sprayed just to make sure it's okay. with copper hydroxide.  Is planted in between an apricot and a nectarine in full sun along a fence with north west exposure and seems to be enjoying it.  Flowered this year but removed buds (only 2 year old tree)

Dwarf Avocado - Lamb Hass (A) (Grafted) 9/10

Danny333's Edible Fruits
Update: 95 days 10hrs

Comments: -

Lamb Hass is a very productive & problem free tree. The fruit taste similar to Hass but are usually a little softer. The tree is quite compact for an avocado and I am growing mine in a 160L pot. This variety pollinates well on its own and is resistant to sunburn.

The tree is also much more upright compared to The spreading nature of a regular Hass tree.

Dwarf Lemon - Meyer (Grafted) 10/10

Mindy1's Edible Fruits
Update: 102 days 6hrs

Comments: - Has delicious fruit - was here when we moved in. I've tried an experiment wtih the size of the tree and sectioned it off into quarters. I pruned one quarter almost skeletonised, one pruned heavily, one lightly and one not at all. It's worked really well - instead of having a glut of lemons every Winter, we now have a manageable crop every three months. Now, we have full grown lemons storing on the three, half grown lemons, blossom and foliage growth. Going to try on other citrus trees to see if it's successful.

Fruiting Months January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December

Height 2.2 metres

Growing: In the Ground

Qty: 1

Fruit Harvest: 20 kilograms per Year

Sun/Shade: Medium Sun

Water Given in: Spring

Pruned By: 25% in Spring

Pollination: Self Pollination

Fertiliser or Organics Used: Compost, Seasol, Dynamic Lifter, worm castings, worm tea, manure

Pest Control: Sometimes find galls from the citrus gall wasp - I use a trap and prune off the swellings. Hardly have any as I stay quite vigilant with it.
