Passionfruit - Sweet Lilikoi (Grafted) 1/10 Edward3's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2295 days 17hrs Comments: - Grows vigorously and has many flowers each year, but has not set a single fruit for over 5 years in spite of attempts at manual pollination and cross pollination with granadilla x lilikoi variety. Passionfruit - Supersweet 96A Tabs's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2775 days 4hrs Comments: - var. Golden Honey. Prolific bearer of heavenly yellow fruit. This plant lived till last year, 2017. Last year before it died from senescence it put out a bumper crop (at the age of 14 - 15) Can no longer find this variety. The sweetest passionfruit I have ever tasted. The Sweet Granadilla just doesn't compare. I had no insect problems, no diseases. Was planted with morning and midday sun against the house where it was protected from frost and had water runoff whenever it rained. Its roots were under the concrete driveway where it stayed warm and moist. Wish I could get another one. Planted: 2002 Height 8 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 1 Fruit Harvest: 100 Fruit Per Year First Fruited: 2 Years from purchase in pot Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Water Given in: Autumn SummerPollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: fish emulsion and seasweed extract Pest Control: None Organic Status:Organic Was this review helpful? Passionfruit - Nellie Kelly (Grafted) 9/10Pademelon1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 3489 days 13hrs Comments: - Grown a couple of these plants, often with a couple of fruiting seasons, but eventually they become daggy, so I remove them, but the rootstock is difficult to remove. Can be really prolific or not at all depending on amount of light and water. I Had one really prolific one a while back, for maybe 4-5 years, in which time it easily produced over 1000 fruit. it was on a sandstone wall in direct sun, occupying a space of approx 6x4m squared. Fruits taste great as well. Pollination: Self Pollination Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report 8 of 12 people found this review useful |

Passionfruit - Sweet Lilikoi (Cutting) Kath's Edible FruitsUpdate: 3734 days 5hrs Comments: - I am growing this mainly for the spicy scented utterly gorgeous flowers. Benefit from cross pollination. Passionfruit - Select Black Kath's Edible FruitsUpdate: 3734 days 5hrs Comments: - It is hard to go past a black passionfruit in terms of flavour and fullness of fruit. I need to construct a trellis for the vine though. I do have seedling black passionfruit growing wild in the bush but I have not seen them fruit - this may be because they don't get enough sun. Passionfruit - Nellie Kelly (Grafted) 7/10 Waterfall's Edible FruitsUpdate: 4022 days 15hrs Comments: - So this is a Nellie Kelly grafted black passionfruit. It has grown very well and started flowering in just 6 months as we head into winter, no fruit set yet. If I had my time again I would purchase the non-grafted version of this, I have had to remove 3 random suckers which have popped up about 1m away from the vine so far. No suckers have grown below the graft since the first 2 weeks after planting. Passionfruit - Panama Red Pandora (Cutting) 9/10 Waterfall's Edible FruitsUpdate: 4023 days 7hrs Comments: - Very fast growing, I have bolted some 100mm square mesh to the back fence as a trelis. I grew it to the top and then cut the top off which forced laterals to grow and now I am training the laterals along the trelis. Started fruiting at 12 months old in late summer. Loaded with fruit now, they will be ripening over winter. Planted: 2013 Height 2 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 1 First Fruited: 1 Years from purchase in pot Sun/Shade: Full Sun Water Given in: Spring Pollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: manure Pest Control: Had to net it from birds and possums once it started flowering, they eat the flowers. Passionfruit - Sweet Lilikoi (Seedling) 3/10 Amethyst's Edible FruitsUpdate: 4255 days 20hrs Comments: - Feb 2014; well, I can't say I'd recommend growing this passionfruit. The fruit are large and a nice outside colour but the pulp is a greyish mass and, while terribly sweet, seemed to have a sickly taste. Maybe just my palate but I shan't be growing this vine again. ---------------------------------------------------- Interesting flowers with a distinctive spicy smell. Initially I had one plant but ended up buying another two for cross-poliination. As it is I have hand pollinated 80% of the crop! In 2011 I lost one vine after I had trowelled lightly near it's base to remove some weeds. I don't know if I was unlucky or they have a habit of dying like that. Can't wait for the fruit to ripen - some are a generous size - bigger than standard passionfruit. As for the flavour; stay tuned! Fruiting Months December Planted: 2011 Height 8 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 2 First Fruited: 2 Years from purchase in pot Sun/Shade: Full Sun Water Given in: Spring Pollination: Hand Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: Horse maure, Seasol, Dolomite When I Fertilise: Spring Pest Control: Occassional sucking bugs easily removed by hand Organic Status:Certified Question: Have you ever experienced sudden dieback with this passionfruit?
