This is year i only got 2 Peaches, they both are VERY BIG and exceptional quality My garden is Bee friendly and has many bee attracting plants and shrubs. Also fruit trees next to it ( Gulf gold Plum and Angel low chill peach ) they all get a heavy fruit set. so i am not concerned about pollination or pollinators. I do administer Winter dormancy spray ,when tree is dormant, with LIME SULFUR once every year but only when its dormant and not when in bud break or bloom. not sure why i may have a poor fruit set despite plethora of blooms ?sandy31 says... But the fruit taste AMAZING, what i can salvaged This year again heavy fruit, AND i neeteed it fully. Hopefully no fruit flies.sandy31 says... [2587 days 12hrs ago] Tree died... had peach leaf curl. After harvesting the fruit 30 approx all were full of maggots. I noticed tree has shed lot of leaves and die back plus dead branches. Not sure was it coz of netting. I prunned the dead bits... And hoped it will bounce back. But it never recovered. Thinking of buying one more....sandy31 says... [2332 days 24hrs ago] Bought new same peach in Autumn 2017, hopefully it will live longer* You need your own My Edibles Page to contribute Quick & Easy |

Peach - Tropic BeautyFirefly1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2497 days 2hrs Comments: - The tree is producing a massive amount of fruit. We tasted our first fruit in the first season. I left 6 on and 1 came to maturity. I have had to strip the tree of the fruit because the production is far out weighing the age and capibility of the tree. This year which is its second season, I will leave 6 fruit on each main branch. June - currently in flower with fruit. Peach - Aztec Gold 10/10Waterfall's Edible FruitsUpdate: 3254 days 24hrs Comments: - Not sure what type of peach tree this is actually, it was already at the house when we bought it. We got loads of fruit on it last spring but the birds smashed them in a few days. This year I pruned it right back to a managable size. Responded very well to a hard prune, its going to be a bumper crop next spring and much easier to net. I have also grafted a "spicezee" nectraplum and a "new boy" nectarine onto this peach tree. Fruiting Months October Planted: 2007 Height 4 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Water Given in: Summer SpringPollination: No When I Fertilise: Never Pest Control: Will need netting to stop birds eating all the fruit. Dwarf Peach (Grafted) 10/10Kath's Edible FruitsUpdate: 3693 days 21hrs Comments: - Gorgeous blossom show in the spring. This alone makes this one of my favourite trees in my orchard. Fruits ripen later in the season in the subtropics, susceptible to fruit fly but it is easy to net as it is only a small tree. I planted a second seedling in 2012 which has deep pink flowers, I bought it in the spring when it was out in blossom. 2013 I lost all the fruit was knocked off in a hail storm Planted: 2007 Height 1.2 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 2 First Fruited: 2 Years from purchase in pot Sun/Shade: Full Sun Water Given in: Summer Pollination: Self Pollination Was this review helpful?
