Dwarf Persimmon - Ichikikijiro (NA)

Large, flat fruit of excellent quality, non-astringent and seedless when grown on its own. Being a dwarf variety it is well suited to backyards but is also a good commercial variety. Will fruit as early as March in the subtropics. Ichikikijiro generally produce only one flush of growth in the spring so don't be alarmed if your tree is not growing in summer, this habit contributes to their small stature.

Fuyu is a semi-dwarf variety, well suited to growing in small backyards and can be kept to 2m with pruning. The fruit is large and flat, orange-red in colour with a sweet, mild flavour. Blueberry - Powderblue

Noted because the fruit has a powdery blush and is medium in size. It is one of the toughest blueberry varieties with a harvest later in the season. A bigger harvest can be achieved by mixing with other rabbiteyes such as the tifblue or others will suit. A great selection for QLD and northern NSW as they don't need many chill hours for the fruit to set. Often the white flowers have a flush of pink. Grows well in pots and has thick enough foliage to be used as a hedge in summer but lets the light through in winter.

Blueberry - Brightwell

Brightwell is a rabbiteye blueberry. Berries often form like grapes in thick clusters. This variety is often in the shops due to it's larger size and bigger harvest. It ripens in the middle or end of the blueberry harvesting season. It is self fertile but you can increase it's yield by planting it near other rabbiteye varieties. This variety is very well suited for the home orchard and low chill areas.

Loquat - Nagasakiwase

The best Japanese variety so far, it has deep orange flesh, high flesh/seed ratio and very sweet flavour. Earliest variety to ripen. Thinning fruit will enhance fruit size. The Nagasakiwase often has 2 crops a year in the subtropics. The first crop in April / May then again in August. We have found by cincturing in summer, the August crop has a much larger crop and better fruit size.

Palm - Date Khadrawy

Originally from Iraq, Khadrawy dates are a much smaller date that has a high moisture content, less sugar, and a milder flavour than the popular Medjool dates. They are a dark mahogany colour with dry, flaky, paper-like skin. Our palms are small seedlings and are not sexed, they will take about 4-6 years to flower approximately and you will not be able to tell if they are male or female until then. We recommend a planting of at least three to increase your chances of having both a male and a female palm.

Pine Nut

An attractive large pine tree that bears cones of edible nuts. These are considered a delicacy in Mediterranean style cooking, due to their sweet, buttery flavour. Trees can be expected to start producing cones from about year 6. But can take longer. Each cone holds about 50 nuts and 100 kg of cones holds about 20 kg of nuts. Ugni ( Tazziberry )

This popular little ornamental plant should be planted anywhere the strawberry aroma from the fruit can be appreciated. It is ideally grown as a low growing hedge or a container specimen. The small glossy dark-green leaves are tinged with a beautiful red growth when young. The plant becomes smothered with fluffy white flowers in summer and bears pea sized burgundy fruit, that lighten as they ripen, in the autumn. A highbush selection requiring 750-1200 hours of chill, it does best on cooler climates. Earliest fruiting variety from early December. Good size fruit. Most important. Blueberries require an acid soil with a pH of 4.5 to 5.5. They also require a free draining loose friable soil. They dislike clay heavy soils. Dwarf Apricot - Bulida

Bulida is a well known and popular Apricot that produces large golden orange fruit. The fruit is firm and very sweet and juicy. Grows to a height of 2m and a width of 2m. Fruits mature early to mid December. Self pollinating. Medium chill makes this a variety that can be grown in most temperate regions of Australia. Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.

Goji Vine Fruiting brigh elongated orange to red berries

This variety of Goji berry is similar to Lycium barbarum the shrub, but it's growth habit is more vine-like. The Goji Berry is native to the Himalayas and inner Mongolia where it has been used for thousands of years and is held in high regard. They have a juicy taste comparable to cranberries or tangy plums. The fruit of L. chinense is as tasty as that of L. barbarum however the skin has a stronger flavour.
