Panama Berry

A highly ornamental tree that bears small red berries within its first year. Blossoming and producing all year round, the flowers are white and followed by small red fruit that is sweet with the taste of caramel. The trees are exceptionally attractive with long spreading branches that often droop down to the ground and soft weeping foliage. Trees are very fast growing and drought hardy once established. Yellow Mangosteen

Yellow Mangosteen is a round fruit with very tart yellow segments. The high acidity makes it ideal for jams and jellies but removing the seed and skin can be time consuming. Easier to grow in the subtropics than the purple mangosteen, but the flavour is altogether different. The tree grows well in full sun and shade. Canistel - Ross Sapote

Mango - Florigon

Definitely the winner in the taste department. The soft sweet flesh melts in your mouth. The fruit has a small seed and virtually no fibre and great flavour. Considered by some to be too small for the market it certainly makes up for its lack of size with taste. Yellow skinned, excellent quality fruits. Sets well in subtropics. Star Apple - Grimal

A purple skinned variety with translucent flesh. The delicious sweet fruit has flavours reminiscent of grape and melon, however, fruit should be well-coloured and mature, as immature fruit are sticky with latex, especially near the skin. Star apples are very attractive as an ornamental specimen tree. A medium to large evergreen tree, its weeping form and glossy, velvet, green leaves, with a gold underside, gives the tree its ability to change from green to gold with a small wind.

This round fruit, although relatively little known has a rich aromatic and delicious flavour. The fruit is the size of an orange and has a dull green surface with perfectly textured pulp. The tough skin allows it to be handled easily and makes it resistant to insect attack. The seeds separate easily from the luscious perfectly textured pulp.

Dwarf Mango - King Thai

A semi-dwarf tree making it ideal for backyards, it produces elongated fruits with a very small seed. Flesh is sweet, succulent, fibreless and aromatic with a slight tang. The fruits start out with green skin and ripen to yellow with pink-red blushed fruit. Compact, branching, slightly upright tree growing to 3-4m tall and 2-3m wide. Shows good resistance to anthracnose and black spot. The fruit of a clone of King Thai mango are sold commercially as Maha Bliss in Australian Markets.
